Lol, define anytime soon?

Losing their arse yearly the next few years and this past year between the 3DS and WiiU.

Lost over a billion already and it's only going to get worse as the WiiU is virtually eliminated from the console market as the PS4/720 get closer and closer.

They're not going to release another new console, nor are they going to even come close to competing with this next gen.

RIP.

I'll bet you money right now it outsells both of the Microsoft and Sony consoles. And they aren't losing their arse with the 3DS. And once games come out for the Wii U sales for it will skyrocket just like they did for the Wii and 3DS.
Sony and Microsoft have competed for second in the console wars since they came out with their own consoles. Nintendo has a loyal fan base. Neither of those 2 companies do.

Nintendo isn't going anywhere, but I am not so sure that the Wii U outsells the MS and Sony Consoles.

We are trading unrealistic blows here.

They should probably only release nintendo consoles with a new Zelda. I feel like a lot of people only buy Nintendo for zelda anyway. I know I am guilty of that.

I doubt this, but Nintendo will certainly remain in the game. Nintendo didn't just become irrelevant all of a sudden.

You're an idiot if you think they're going anywhere with their first party titles.

I'm having a hard time telling whether you're serious or just an idiot. Nintendo has survived worse odds than this.

Remember when people were laughing their asses off about the Wii? Well, it won the last console war. I don't have a Wii U right now, since it doesn't have enough games to make me interested, but once Smash Bros and a new Zelda game comes out, you bet your arse it will be on my shelf.

Agreed. There's no telling how the next console war will shape up, especially since we know absolutely nothing about Microsoft's next console.

People realized how lame the wii was after about a month when they stopped playing it and it collected dust.

I only like the Wii for Wii bowling. Other than that, it sucks.

Nice to see you back, btw

It was sold out for 2 years. Let that one set in and then realize that it's best sales year was 2009, after it had been on the market for 3 years.

Doesn't change the fact that the Wii tapped into a casual market that hasn't shown much interest in buying a Wii U yet.

It's about to eclipse 100 million units sold. This has only happened once in the 40+ year history of console gaming, and soon twice.

Right now, most definitely. Nintendo really screwed over the handling of the console for the last 2 years of its life. The release window is more barren than the PSPs!

I forgot the Playstation 1 hit it too. I wasn't really counting the DS or Gameboy.

It just barely got over 100 million. It helped that it was so incredibly popular in Europe.
