Where do you think Destiny's story goes from here?

Maybe some of Saturn's moons open up? Maybe Pluto opens up? Maybe Uranus opens up?
Taking down a king is kind of an epic conclusion. But I guess there could be other kings, like the cabal's king.
Hopefully Destiny doesn't follow the same trajectory as WoW after their king expansion. Everyone got the king slayer title from the lich king expansion, and WoW went downhill from there.

Actually that was from achievement runs after Cata was released that everyone got the King Slayer title

I kind of hope they just redo year 1 and make it coherent. I thibk you are going to see more cabal on the moon though.

however I played the crap out of WoW back in the day and don't recall it having much of a story. I just played it because it was fun. Destiny's story has improved since taken king released and I'm sure will only get better going forward.

Lack of story is one thing. Lack of structure is another. And it blows me away that it used to be worse than what it is.

guess I never fully understood the hate for the lack of story and structure. I just enjoyed playing because the mechanics were fun, while the story and structure were secondary to me.
but now that the story and structure are improving it's like icing on the cake. Guess I care more about gameplay and exploring the different planets/moons/astroid belts than I do about the story/structure

Oryx still has sibling that are out there so they could go that route, however, I'd like to see something with the cabal than another DLC or story with hive.
Destiny doesn't have the best story in the world, but it's lore is second to none. If you haven't read the grimoire, or at least the Book of Sorrows, then I urge you to. There is some dark, dark shite in the world of Destiny.

I don't think anyone plays Destiny for the lackluster story Which sucks because I think they have a great universe set up but just don't explore it in depth at all.
But to humor this thread, I think (hope) the next big set of stories/mission/strikes/raids centers around the Cabal, which I think makes sense. Because on the Dreadnaught they have a Cabal ship that basically crash landed there to set up shop and pretty sure I remember at some point someone said they sent out a distress signal. I'n thinking the Cabal show up with some big king or something pissed off at what Oryx did at Phobos and in general.

I biggest problem with Destiny is every thing you do in the game takes place in the exact same areas. If Patrols, missions, strikes, and raids all took place in areas exclusive to that game mode, it would be much more interesting.

If only destiny could actually tell you the story in the fricking game instead of having to leave the game just to figure out what he hell is going on. Nothing more classic than the speaker, from the get go, saying "I could tell you of a great battle centuries ago, I could tell you" blah blah blah. Why couldn't he just explain it?

Yes year 1 was bad, year 2 did a better job of that though.
