What is the disconnect with devs when it comes to nvidia and amd?

I am not a fanboy of either cards but why is it that games seem to run bad on one card or another? You would think with the two largest card producers that they would do at least a little research on the engines they make games on.

Because the companies directly contribute money and development assistance to specific games they want to feature

Usually they suck on both, I noticed you mentioned DH2 in that other thread but it ran like shite for most on Nvidia as well.
Bad ports are bad ports, not really sure there is much you can do other than wait a few weeks for a few patches to fix most major issues.
Why they used the iD Tech 5 engine for DH2 and not 6 like DOOM used is beyond me. DOOM is/was the best running PC game I played in 2016, and that is thanks to AMD and DX12.

I had no issues on nvidia, not sure why you said it ran bad on both, amd users had issues from the start.

If you knew your history you would know I used two AMD cards in the past and liked their OC software better, I have no brand loyalty I want the best, sorry if it hurts your stock price but we are tired of hearing about it.

Are you saying 47FPS at 1440p on a $500 card is good? You're joking right? 42FPS minimum, frequently. Yeah, no issues.

But they don't, it's the same thing for AMD, scroll down the bottom and read RX480 performance.
Old card tech vs new card tech for both Nvidia and AMD is what hurts them and there is your difference in excellent detail.
