Been wanting to take a break from big budget triple aaa stuff for a minute since we had so many big games coming out recently.
"We who are about to die" has been on my indie list for a bit so gave it a whirl this week. It is a roman gladiator sim with rogue like elements. its a very small team, 1 dude. i have found it very entertaining and i like to shout out to small team stuff when i can.
you basically start as one of 6 or so starting backgrounds with different winning scenarios. Generally start with rags as armor and shovels and odd ends as weapons and work your way up through fame and gold to be a true gladiator.
if it sounds like your thing check it out on youtube. its a fun 20 dollar investment. Forewarned it is in early access but ive experienced limited "jank" but there is some there.

$20 is spicy for a one man early access title, but I’ll give it a look.

fair nuff. price tag did not deter me but i wouldnt argue against it being more reasonably priced at 10-15.

Fark me. I just had to watch an Amex ad to view the gameplay video in GOG. Gameplay doesn't look bad, but it screams microtransactions.
