Got my closed beta key emailed to me today. That means I now have a beta key for The Division and UFC 2. I don't have enough time in a day to play these two damnit!!

Anyone else thinking of picking up UFC 2?

Let me know what you think of the UFC beta. I enjoyed the first one and definitely plan on grabbing this in March.

I am really interested in the revamped ground game, and the submissions out of nowhere will be really cool. They've also added in a MyTeam version in UFC, where instead of collecting player cards, you get move cards. You create a team of 4 or 5 characters and collect cards like that to move up the rankings.

Saw a beta play through with Mighty Mouse yesterday on some website. Looked like garbage enough for me to cancel my preorder. It's still so damn robotic looking

I love UFC /mma over boxing but those fight night games were really starting to look and play great. When you throw in all the mechanics of an mma match its just too much to look right in my eyes

Been playing the Beta all day, feel they jumped in the wrong direction, ground game is awful. They over complicated the stand up game. I'm not complaining because I can't win, I think I have played maybe 25 fights and lost 5. I'm not happy with the product.

- I think they took a step back, made blocking way more difficult than it needs to be by making it 1 button to block upper body shots and 1 button for lower body shots. Blocking is hard enough as it is, did it really need to be more complicated.

- I am not thrilled with the complete overhaul of the move list, when I am playing and can't figure out half a move list, there is a problem.

-The ground game I use to feel has some skill to it, needing to read the other person know when to do what. Now it takes no true skill, here hold the button in this direction for this long and it will do it for you. Oh, you aren't smart enough to know which way to move the stick will do what? Well we are going to tell you which way to move it and what it does when you move it that way.

There are some improvements, and yeah I am going to buy the game probably anyway. But I am really disappointed in this game. I won my last 25 fights in a row as well. I actually sat there and counted them out.

Played the beta last night. First impression through about 5 matches: this game blows. Won 3, lost 2. Ground game sucks. Stand up game is decent but way too gimmicky looking. I like the added blood and cuts to the fighters, but that's about the only plus for me. Also like how you can now see who your opponent picks so you don't wind up fighting the same dipshit you picked. I was actually a fan of the first one, not too sure I'll spend my $60 on this game though. Definitely wouldn't after my first impression.

Did I say I lost 2 matches? I meant to say I went 35-1.

damn baw! We all UFC Champs in this bitch huh?

As long as moves cannot be spammed, this game will excel in my opinion. Last year, it was all about getting that round one victory, and then just spamming takedowns the rest of the time. With the latency issues in regards to most games, sprawling a takedown attempt was pretty hard to do.

Already redeemed it. I played it during lunch. Will take me a bit to get used to all the bullets needed to take someone out, but overall should be a decent beta. Probably will not be buying the game.

The controls are a bit wonky but I love that this game is much slower like a real fight. No more just spamming the shite out of buttons. The stamina meter drains fast which is awesome.

I find it does drain faster but like the overall stamina you maintain round to round drains significantly slower compared to last game.

I'm really enjoying the game. It has some absolutely frustrating moments, like body spammers (until you figure out how to beat them). Overall though, I find the game to be pretty damn enjoyable.

I mix in the body blows but I do throw a lot of them. I hate the two button block system, blocking is way too difficult.

Blocking is disgustingly easy. You don't even have to parry the shots, you can literally just block them and be ok. I mean, you don't get a chance at a counter strike, but you can still easily block the incoming punches/kicks. The hardest part to me is the transition game on the ground. You have to either really know your shite on the ground as far as what position you are currently in vs where you need to go (on the right analog stick), or guess before the words pop up and hope you're right.

I'm opposite, ground game is almost too easy. I prefer something similar to the older system but the blocking is killing me, because I try to parry every time. If I am not parrying I may as well be slugging it out.

Alright, so apparently more people have had more time with the game and more time with a game means more opportunities to learn spam things. The new meta surrounding the game is doing combos repeatedly to the body. For some reason, if someone goes low/high on their combos you can parry and/or block. However, if they go high/low there is virtually no way to stop it.

Also, I got into a match as Royce Gracie vs Kelvin Gastelum and this game doesn't reward ground specialists at all with the current submission system. It's still damn near impossible to get anyone to submit.

The more I play the game, the more frustrated I get that the same fighting style regardless of fighter is the one that gets rewarded. I am slowly backing down off of my "this game is great" comment.

Played this game a lot more over the weekend. My opinion of it hasn't really changed all that much. I'm a big fan of the newly added cuts and blood. The fighters faces stay battered through out the match and don't revert back to looking like the have never been punched like in UFC1. I'm a fan of the standup game. I guess? It's ridiculously easy to throw multiple uppercuts in a row and land every one. The ground game is WAY too easy. Transitioning is so easy, either from top position or bottom. Yet transitioning from the clinch (which is the worst part of this game for me) is beyond ridiculously hard. If someone has you in the Thai clinch your only hope of getting out of it is being hit with a punch and dropping to the ground without getting KO'd (at least for me).

Still don't think I'll be spending my $60 on this game. But may be a future Redbox rental for a few days or so.

I loved the last UFC game they made for the 360, Undisputed 3. You had to know that EA was just going to frick everything up.
