Hopefully they come up with a protagonist who is actually likable and make the game a little more replayable.

Yeah, the story was okay in the 3rd but the characters held no connection with me.

Still in all, Far Cry 3 is one of my favorite games to play in 2012/2013. When gaming at 1440 and all the eye candy plus SweetFX turned up, I felt like I was on a tropical island.

I thought Far Cry 3 was an awesome game, but I got about a third of the way through it before I just stopped playing it all together. Not sure what it was.

3 had one of the best last missions I've ever played in any game. Ever.

I loved all the missions and the little quests in the main story.

The problem was character development. You never connected or felt for any of the characters. Saying that, I enjoyed and it is one of my favorite PC titles of the last 5yrs.

The first half of Far Cry 3 was awesome. Second half? Not so much

I do agree. The gameplay was solid and well polished. It was a blast hunting down enemies with a bow.

This is also true. The main character was a horrible, whining bitch who I couldn't connect with at all.

The enemies were great at the beginning, but then they killed Vass halfway through and you are left with another boss you didn't care about.

My only other qualm was the quality of the boss fights. The dream/unconscious sequences were not done well, IMO.

That aside, I did enjoy the game, but I don't rank it as highly as others. Another reason I don't think the replayability is that high is that I don't think I could go through climbing all those towers again.

Hopefully they make the world more than just pretty and actually put effort into side missions and non story related activities.

The weed field and final mission

Agreed. I never gave a shite about my "friends" and that was a big problem since the main storyline was to save them.

Yeah, killing enemies stealthily with the bow was my favorite tactic.

Also agreed. Vaas was a great character and had some of the best dialogue I've ever experienced in a game.
