I asked this on the ot but only got a couple responses so I figured I'd bring it here.
I've got a gateway with an amd 64 x2 2.8g
processor. Its got a geforce 6150 video
processor. monitor has d-sub and dvi-d.
I'm thinking of installing a tv tuner on it.
But i need to know if i need to upgrade the
video card first and also what the best tv
tuner would be.
I'd basically be making this a tv in a guest
room in my house so with regular cable
going to the tuner. Thoughts? Also will I be able to get all normal channels that I normally get like espn or only locals?

new egg has a really good external tuner that you can record shows with.
