Played through to the first check point, a lot like the first one so far in play style, but I only have about 20 minutes into it. Looks like it's going to be good.

Never heard of this game so I looked it up and wow, it looks awesome. It looks like a game I love for PC called Fate. I believe it comes on most HP PCs.

I only have 20 minutes so far, that remains to be seen. They released at a tough time Guild Wars 2, Borderland 2, Black Ops 2, and Pandas.

I just want it to have replay value, because I think Diablo 3 will eventually fix that.

Same thing I want to know. D3 has a huge developer that will keep the game alive and fix it for years to come. I don't want to invest into TL2 just because of that fact. Then releasing days after BL2? Sort of silly.

It seems they are very open to mods with the game, so you could have some pretty crazy maps that people make to go along with the cool ones already in the game

Up to a week ago, I have been playing D3 consistently since release. Although TL2 graphics are good, D3 graphics are better imo. I prefer TL2 talent points and skill tree over D3. The loot system in TL2 is FAR superior than D3. TL2 drops A LOT of loot and most importantly loot your character can use. A few examples... A level 10 quest reward was a gun with 4 sockets and the first boss dropped 3 "legendary" items.

If you are looking for the normal "Diablo" experience, TL2 is your game.

The loot system is the knock on this game so far, interesting you like a bunch of loot that's mostly worthless and having to cycle it out so much.

Forbes review:

quote:

The loot is great, but I do have quibbles. It’s a bit overwhelming at times, and there are moments where I just wish there was less of it and that the loot you did find had a bit more impact. This could be copy and pasted from my Borderlands 2 review, quite honestly, and that’s probably because I’m just not that into constantly cycling in loot. I ended up sticking with the first batch of Unique weapons I found for the full Second Act, and that actually worked out quite well. But it does make me wonder what the point of this constant stream of uninteresting loot is. I like the interesting loot, but almost every ARPG out there insists on giving me lots of junk. I wish Torchlight 2 had done more to break that trend.

TL2 is no where near as good as D3. In no aspect. Yes TL2 drops a lot of loot but its mainly garbage. D3 looks better. Plays better and has a better skill/talent tree. Stat points are old.

How's that no stat point system working out for D3?
