Obviously no SBMM for trials.
Also count me in as somebody who has played a ton of trials and I don't see any of the DDOS or lag switching problems. So I don't think it is common.
But I do think there are those out there for sure and Bungie needs to figure out a way to stop it.

I don't get why they won't go back to that. Sure a few casuals will run into some players they can't touch. But is that the only players you care about?

I just don't see why you don't just do CBMM and then if a team is 8-0, see if you can find another team with a similar amount of wins in your area and if not, then just go random. I'd like to keep it to where you have to somewhat work for it, but you shouldn't also be penalized because of the amount of people playing at a certain time.
And yeah, SBMM has no place in ToO.

Because I play with a squad and it's too damned easy 
Kings fall on hard mode is fun as hell. The jumping puzzle is awesome. Raids are what make the game IMO. I'm cool with the new one though. It's nice to not need to set aside 2 hours to run the damn thing.

That's great but if it is the best content in the game then you want more people to enjoy it, especially if you are not helping people find a group in game.
King's Fall on hard is good until the sisters. That's when every LFG group falls apart and takes fricking forever to do it. I haven't finished the new one yet but so far I like it.

The new one is a nice change from kings fall. It's much shorter. I just wish it had a better jumping puzzle.
I tried kings fall with randoms one time and it was miserable. We finished, but it took about 3 hours and a few people were changed out. I imagine the new one would be just as bad with the siege engine. I never even tried the raids till I had a group.
It would be cool if there was an in game option for matchmaking or something for the raids I guess but they're so communication intensive I just can't figure out how you'd make it work.

Now that you say it the jumping puzzles are lacking in this raid. People bitching about them but they were some of the most fun moments laughing at people. I mean I still laugh at getting punched by the dicks.

The jumping puzzles were my favorite part of kings fall. Platforming is always fun. Having some hidden loot to go find makes it even better. Watching somebody die about 10 times in a row and listening to their progressively degrading language is awesome.
As for matchmaking, I just can't imagine what it would take for it to work on a raid. The main thing i hated about randoms was the squeaky whining arse kids. The group I play with now is a bunch of brits who are older and like to cut up. Getting stuck with kids or dumbasses every time wouldn't be worth doing IMO.
The solution would really be something like a solo raid. A puzzle-focused several hour long mission with checkpoints and set up strictly for solo runs. The story and strikes being so short really detracts from the solo game.

I didnt get destiny (or an Xbox for that matter) till about 6 or 8 months ago. I wasn't around when Crota was difficult. First time I fell down that pit I was at about 315 light

Since RoI dropped I have only had 2 questionable trials matches and both were game 7s. One was this weekend where a guy was teleporting into a wall and killing people (probably lag but looked really weird) and the other was last week with 3 red bars that were teleporting around the map.

Trials this past weekend was the worst one yet for me this DLC. I had played the previous 2 without much lag, but this past one I had 3 separate matches where one guy was a complete bullet sponge. Other matches of note were one match none of us could get into the match, we were stuck flying in. And the worst one of all was when I legitimately got DDOS, well at least so I think. My entire Internet went out for a solid 20 minutes or so. I've been booted/lag switched out of a match plenty throughout all the seasons/years of Trials, but I had never experienced this before.
BTW anyone want to run the new raid, I've never run it yet but am 390 light.

If you actually had to restart your internet and everything then it was a DDOS. Frick these people. Anytime I think of them, all that comes to mind is the kid who ties a bottle rocket to a cats tail or something. Just absolute scum of the earth.

I just don't get the people who continually do it. Like maybe once, just to prove something to a friend or what not, but I play the game mode to actually play the matches. I enjoy the shite out of Trials.
If I was packet sniffing IP's then spamming requests to the person playing me that would just be unbearable.
