Thoughts? Star Wars Battlefront 2 - $4.50 to buy on Origin...worth it?

Now that this game is about 2 years old and after all the shite they went through at launch with loot boxes/grinding/pay to win it seems like this could be a steal. For less than 5 bucks that seems like a lot of game.

It's got a bot mode I think

I thought the single player was worth the $20 I paid for it. They continue to add new content as well.

You're asking if $4.50 for a game is worth it. Less than a car wash, any fast food combo. Jesus man...

I think that's saying more about EA than anything.

Ignore the ridiculous backlash against the game. People these days freak the frick out about the pettiest shite, and the gamer community is especially bad in this regard. Battlefront 2 isn’t going to win any GOAT awards, but it is a pretty kickass game nonetheless. At $4.50 it is a no-brainer. I pre-ordered it with all expansion packs included, and I have never felt like I didn’t get my money’s worth. Highly recommended to any Star Wars fan. And yes, there are always games going on any time I log on. There’s been new material released for the game relatively recently as well.

You can probably still find full matches. I loved the game a year ago when I bought it for I think $10. They made a lot of fixes to make up for the loot box stuff

Yes it's worth it. You'll get frustrated from dying quickly, but it's a fun battle game.

Absolutely worth it. I have it on console and have loved it, and now that it's on sale for so low, I'm going to buy it for PC.
A lot of people freaked out when this game was first released, and some of it was warranted (loot boxes, map design, etc.), but like others have said in this thread, a lot of good updates and changes have been made. It's a solid game with solid progression and a solid fan base that still plays (I got on the other night with no long wait times).

100%
I still crush heros vs villains.

The campaign is worth $5, so get it.
Anything else you like about it is just bonus.

I still play from time to time.
The single player was very fun. Story was good enough. At times, it was basically just a way to introduce the different heroes/villains and learn their skills, but the missions were still fun.
Multiplayer community is still active. You'll definitely be at a disadvantage for a while, especially in the hero vs villains mode as your abilities won't be as ranked up as others, but it is still fun.
It is an absolute gorgeous game, and will scratch a lot of star wars itches.

it's worth it strictly to wreck shite in the single player campaign as Shivakamini Somakandarkram
