Thoughts on the TV Missile for BF3?

What are the thoughts on this unlock, and would you reccomend using it or have another combo like laser painter/guided missile?

Equipped it once, seemed pointless even if you were communicating with the pilot....which is a must I might add

Hard as shite to control and the pilot needs to line up the shot before you fire. It's easier to keep it on target than get it on target.

It's good if you want to hang back and eliminate a Tunguska without being in the line of fire. However, this does require a lot of communication and it is hard as frick to control.

I thought they patched it where it doesnt kill you anymore, I have taken out my own heli at least 5 times with it since the patch
