Last year I posted on here about an indie company named IMV Gaming and told y'all that they were wanting to make a college football game. Well I want to update y'all on the whole situation and see if u think it's legit or a scam. Last year at the time I was giving them chance after chance believing them, now I'm not so sure what to believe. At first they had a Kickstarter trying to raise 850k to make the game. It failed, the Kickstarter automatically refunded all customers. No one was scammed. Now a year later, they still haven't released any gameplay or any proof of their ability to make a game, and now they're saying "A company has agreed to make the game for us, but we can't tell you who it is until we raise the 850k". So they started another fundraiser and this time I think it's through something different, possibly PayPal, which is sketchy bc that doesn't automatically give back the money if the amount isn't raised. Now they've got a couple of pro athletes on board like Lamar Louis from the Ravens and Spencer Dinwiddie in the NBA. Dinwiddie said today he would donate 100k to them. They also got one of the most famous gaming youtubers on board, QJB, after last year he wouldn't join them and said he needed to see more proof. QJB works with EA on games and has over a million subs so idk why he would risk his reputation if he knew this was a scam.

Sorry this is long, but give me your thoughts on this. I'm not donating any money bc there's not enough proof, but these athletes and youtubers jumping on board makes me wonder if they're actually for real.

That exact sentence is why I won't donate lol

Their exact words was basically "We've agreed with a company to let them make our game, but they want us to not say their name until we raise the money".

That part of the whole thing made me laugh bc that sounds like some mess u would hear on a movie or something

I remember that thread. You were pretty adamant about it

Yeah I admit I was at the time. But at that point I had just discovered them, and they were saying things like "We have a ton of proof coming soon". They were talking about a website, a commercial, possibly gameplay, all kinds of actual proof. Their "commercial" ended up being a video they recorded with some friends in their backyard or something. Was posted on YouTube, not on tv or on any websites besides YouTube. No gameplay was released. Being that they returned all money through Kickstarter I thought we'll ok it's not a scam. Then, they basically reset when 2017 gets here, still don't show proof, and now ask for 850k again. Also, any time you ask them the tough questions and put them in a tough position, they won't answer, and they'll call you a hater or something like that. I'm done and I just want to make everyone aware. They're either tricking these pro athletes and youtubers, or they're making some kind of deal with them where they'll get a cut of the money, and I think it's the money.

Speaking of that, another thing that doesn't make sense with them is they are saying it's a college football game, but they've said multiple times there won't be any real colleges, no real players (obviously), they can't afford to get the rights to any real college songs/traditions, no real college anything......how can you make a college football game without that stuff? You can't.

Wanted to believe at first but gave up. Even their "supposedly" screenshot builds are really bad.

That's how I felt. They showed a stadium and screenshots at first, like they were the ones working on the game, and now they're saying "We've hired a company to make the game". Well stop showing the screenshots YOU made and telling us that's what the game will look like, bc that's not even true.

There won't be a NCAA football game again unless a big company is funding it. A crowd funded budget game with generic universities is not what people want.

I think 2K will eventually try it. They do more and more with colleges in NBA 2k every year, so hopefully they'll finally try it one year. Probably still at least 5 years down the road tho.

"IMV Gaming" never once indicated that they actually had the ability to make a video game, of any kind, let alone something as complex as a proper follow-up to NCAA football. All they ever posted were empty slogans and images of unfinished stadium models.

Exactly. Like I said before, I gave them a chance for awhile bc they promised "proof" was coming before they were gonna ask for money. Then their "proof" was some little graphics, one stadium that can easily be made by someone who knows what they're doing, a few helmet concepts, and some slogans. That's it. Now it scares me knowing that they're going trough PayPal or some other site like that instead of Kickstarter. Now the money goes straight to them.

The scariest thing is 396 people have signed up to donate monthly payments with no proof of anything. Every time I see people post videos talking to them about wanting the game back, it's little 12 year old kids giving away their parents money. On top of all this, the thing that burns me up the most is I've seen them 2-3 times say things like "With God anything is possible". If they really are scamming, it hurts me to know they're using God's name to do it.
