Thinking about swapping from PS4 to Xbone S

Should I? Really the only reason I hung onto the PS4 was because of the slightly cheaper PS Plus. Now it's the same price.
So, what's some pros and cons for the Xbone S? Or just the Xbone in general?

I did. I'm not much of a gamer mostly play Madden. Got it for 4k. Love it. Just my opinion though.

Yeah. I mean, it's not based on any solid metrics and facts other than preference (so far), but sure.

Last gen for sure, but outside of capped download speeds on PS4 you are getting pretty much the same thing.

I got an Xbox 1S last night for my 4K player until the PS4K hits, switching full time seems like quite a downgrade though with the PS4K 2 months away.

I wouldnt go that far. XBLive has FAR better choices for their Gold games than PSN does. I have no idea what the specs on the new boxes look like but of the existing consoles playstation has the superior hardware, but its barely noticeable. I went from playstation to XBone and literally played the same games without noticing a graphics difference at all and thats usually something I pay attention to since I went to school for 3d imaging etc.
Sony has REALLY dropped the ball in my opinion. Their only real upper hand was the superior hardware and it honestly fell flat for me. The new consoles coupled with the equalizing of the service price firmly swings the pendulum in Microsoft's court and thats coming from a guy that was a playstation purist since the first one up until last year when I finally swallowed my pride and bought the xbone to play with some irl friends.
Better free games
Better selection of paid games outside of your normal AAA titles
Better network quality all around now for the same price
4k capability
There is really no argument to be made for playstation anymore

why not just wait till xmas 17(?), and get the better machine from Xbox(Scorpio)?
xbone s is just a slimmed down machine, slightly upgraded machine, i believe. Just wait for the Scorpio, which is a much better rig, and is actually more on what these consoles should of been from the beginning.

What if this guys friends all play on PS4?
I started off with an Xbone, but bought a PS4 a few months later because one, out of my 30 or so gaming friends chose Xbone. I might turn my xbox on twice a week at this point.
There ultimately isn't a huge difference between the two, aside from the 4K which won't even be a leg up for much longer for Xbox. If all your friends play PS4 then stay there, if they are on xbone then go there.

And thats honestly where I am right now. My friends play on XBLive so thats what I am playing but I was trying to speak objectively between the current state of the 2 platforms. I have friends that play both, but I have more on xbl.

Add in the backwards compatibility, pc ecosystem integration, and the superior controller. It's a blowout in xbox's favor
This coming from a former Playstation fanboy purist.
