I'm no gaming enthusiast by any means, so you have to take that into account.

Breath of the Wild is the only game I plan on getting out of the launch list. I looked into the descriptions of the others online, and they just don't interest me.

Looking forward to the other titles in the horizon.

if you try just one of those other games, please make it shovel knight

it's a 2d side scroller, but god dammit it's good.

Nintendo is to creative for their own good.

They need to get out of consoles period (still do handhelds) and they just do a ton of third party games for sony and xbox. That is dream scenario for me. Then again that is what sega tried to do and utterly failed.

Maybe that's not an unreasonable or uncommon view but it's hard to say that when the Switch sold beyond projections. Analysts were saying 5 million for the year and they've already sold close to 2 million, announced a doubling of production and one of their launch titles is being hailed as a signature all time great game

Well, I think they finally have the perfect "hybrid" system they've always wanted to do in that regard. I am fine if they stick with that, and their next systems are just further iterations/improvements: Switch 2, etc.

I've had a hell of a lot of fun just playing Zelda on the Switch, and love being able to go from playing console style on a large screen to undocking and playing handheld while having some March Madness on the TV.

No doubt, from what I have gathered switch is doing remarkably well, which I find a little surprising since there is no native mario launch title.

I guess I just selfishly want a better system to play those nintendo games. I am hoping they release a gpu dock at somepoint in the future to upgrade it (2 years in or so). Right now, I see it as an amazing handheld for myself, but not a console.

it's really awesome. my wife wants to watch something stupid and i'm right in the middle of a game and not at a good stopping point, no problem...switch.

if I need to direct my attention elsewhere, just put it in sleep mode like a tablet instead of leaving the machine on and you don't miss a beat when you pick it back up

when Mario or I should say IF Mario releases for the holidays it's going to take it past the early adopter phase. it will sell like crazy unless the game is a dud.

that's the versatility of it IMO. if you have a ps or xbox...this isn't another console, it's a handheld that you can play on tv. for me, it's a console that I can take with me anywhere. unlike the wii and the wii u, Nintendo has found a gimmick that is functional.

I took my switch to work to play on my lunch break. I couldn't do that with my Xbox.. That's what is so fun about it.

I'll take your recommendation and get Shovel Knight if I want a change of pace from Zelda.

it has an annoying "pick the gender" option, but ignore it and once you start playing you'll get what i'm saying...the game is awesome.

Right, that's what everyone was hoping for with the Wii U win it was first announced, so that is a really cool functionality it has.

Keep us update on how it goes, what games are good as they release. This is something that people will (myself included) will want to probably target around july, august, september, long enough for supply to catch up with initial demand, and before the holiday surge.

This. Nintendo would be crazy to get out of hardware completely with how they've been dominating the portable space. Those DS and 3DS sales numbers are nothing to sneeze at

Not impressed. Should have been pushed back for Mario Kart, the smaller indie titles, and VC to be launched. Would have kept engagement higher.

I can only speak for myself because a few of those titles are new to me, but not for the majority of people

I have Super Bomberman. It's a fun little break from Zelda. My only issue is beating the first boss is next to impossible and once you game over you have to start from the beginning of that world, so it's getting a little tiresome having to do that.

So if anyone has any tips on how to beat Magnet Bomberman I'd love to hear it

Don't forget Fast RMX. LINK It's the closest thing there is to a F-Zero game these days. 30 tracks, online racing, under a gig to download, and just $20. Plus Shin'en is going to continue to add features to improve the game over time.
