I have really enjoyed it, much more than the first one. Just plays better. The first one I could never really get into, but this one has been much better.
I think all the classes are pretty decently matched. Sure, more often than not the heavy will beat an officer or scout in close/medium range, but you can still hold your own. Each class has enough abilities and perks that you can be very helpful with all of them. I'm not sure which class I'm liking the most.
The progression is still a chore and the loot boxes are dumb, but overall I think it is fine after they removed the transactions.

Played a bit of MP last night, specifically Galactic Assault, lot of fun. Working on my Assault class atm, along with all the challenges that come with it. Playing as Yoda & Maul last night was a blast as well.

The Heroes vs Villains game mode is so much better this time around. Playing that mode, and having to plays as a trooper in the first one was just so stupid. Would still love some 8v8 or more Hero vs Villains games, but the 4v4 is still lots of fun. Rey's damn mind trick is so frustrating

I don't think so, unless you've come up against a really progressed build I haven't seen. I haven't had any trouble defeating him, outside of playing against a really good player. Rey can frick him up if you use mind control correctly.

I've only played the first few missions. They've been fun, but it is a very typical Dice campaign.

What does that mean for someone who has been out of gaming for years?
Also, is it just head to head MP, or are there co-op missions as well aside from the campaign?

Their story missions are basically used to show off the MP maps as you'll basically play through all of them. It won't be overly long either. Its fun and there is some replay ability, but not like something like Halo or anything.
They have face to face MP and they also have some co-op game modes and stuff against bots you can do as well.

I think you just sold me on it. I need something to do in the evenings after the 11 month old twins are put to sleep while the wife decompresses with Hallmark movies. This sounds like my ticket.

I've enjoyed it. It is absolutely gorgeous to play. The style definitely isn't for everyone, but I like the MP a lot. The flying is also really good.
ETA: If you're curious, go on Twitch and watch some of the streamers playing. You'll get a decent feel for the MP and the game.

Yep. I just got an LG B7 and the One X. It is unreal.
This was a screenshot I took. I think this is even still just the SDR mode, I can view the shot in HDR on my console and it is even better.

Gameplay can be fantastic, but if the multiplayer lacks significant progression payoff by playing, it will eventually grow stale.
I am not super pissed because I do not buy a ton of games, but I completely understand their pov.
