f Nintendo agrees to that, I’d be shocked.

It’s been rumored for a couple years now, Nintendo and MSFT have been cozying up for some time.

Only Game Pass on Nintendo in order to get Activision and Bethesda titles, most likely powered by xCloud (or whatever they’ve branded it as now.)

I imagine they'll wait for this new console for the next Animal Crossing.

I thought about getting a switch OLED this fall. Now I think I'll wait unless it's not backward compatible

Hope it's a console with an Xbox PlayStation type of controller.

No gimmicks, no bullshite.

Their pro controller is solid, just an extra over priced peripheral.

"next gen".

not saying it wont be fun but Nintendo has been far lacking any hardware that's truly "next gen".

Nintendo isn't interested in next gen. They've created their own console ecosystem and are really only competing against themselves.

This is the way.

Other details, such as backwards compatibility support for Switch games (physical and digital), remains unclear. Nintendo has said it wants to convert as many of Switch’s 100m+ userbase as possible to its next system, although some third-party publishers are said to have expressed concern that legacy support for Switch games could negatively affect sales of next-gen titles.

I own nearly every single Nintendo home and handheld console released in the US including the Virtual Boy (DSi and New 3DS are the two I don't have) and there is no way in hell I'm buying the next Nintendo console if the digital purchases from the Switch don't carry over.

I guarantee the vast majority of Switch owners will feel that way.
