So who has the Wii U?

looking to get some reviews on it.... trying to get a console the GF will enjoy playing with me... she likes wii... is this one worth it? is it backwards compatible?

Backwards compatible with only Wii games, not Gamecube. But they will be making Gamecube games available for download on the e-shop in the near future.
It's selling pretty well and I've heard good reviews for it. Asking for one for Christmas myself.

I got it. I like it so far. I didn't realize how great it is to not have to use the TV to play a game.
