So, I am contemplating trading in PS4 for Xbox one IF certain things happen.

We have all heard how Xbone is going backwards compatable and PS4 apparently will not. I love the Dark Souls and Bloodborne games but man if they made NCAA 14 backwards comptable I would trade my ps4 in a heartbeat. Considering I currently just play Witcher 3, FIFA 14, and GTA V.

Do you guys know if they will be able to do NCAA 14? I read EA no longer has the rights? Are the legal issues resolved? Since it was made prior to legal allegations does it have no bearing? Does Microsoft have to get certain permissions or anything like that?

Let's discuss!

They just have to get an OK from the developer

I would assume that will be a quick no, even though I guess technically EA wouldn't be making money off of it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but to play a backwards game you have to have purchased from the marketplace on the 360 correct?

I don't understand giving up a current console just to play a last-gen game.

Just buy an old 360, they're cheap now, and keep the ps4

Yeah haha, I wouldn't do that, but I also own both a PS4 and an Xbox One.

I definitely wouldn't buy an Xbox 360 though. Too much clutter for me. But to each their own.

Lol my old roommate had 4-5 always out in front of his tv. I just can't stand clutter. There are obviously ways to make it look nice though.

A dozen? I only have a PS3 and PS4. I play both from time to time, but not at the same time. That would be hard.

PS4, PS3 and Wii U in the living room
Gamecube, Dreamcast, N64, PS1 in the guest room
Atari 2600, NES, SNES, Genesis, Turbografx-16 in the study

So, 12 even.

sounds like you should wait to see if the games you want backward compatible make their way to the xbone

What's the difference between Xbox backwards compatibility program and PS Now service?

PS now is a streaming service that cost money. Xbox will be free as long as you have the game already and just emulates the 360 to run it.

I don't know much about the ps now serv but it seems gimpy so far. And I woudln't be trading my "ps4" for a xbox 360. I would be trading my PS4 for an XBone with backwards compatability. Which the ps4 does not have plans to have.

This would allow me to play all current gen games as well as some older favs while not having to frick around with another console. I had a ps3 with NCAA but I want one console that can do most of what I want, not 12.

The Xbox version of it will bitch slap PS Now IMO.

Seems like it. I wouldn't have much use for it since the majority of the games I had for 360 were physical copies. I did rack up on the games for gold games that were dropping though.

I tried the trial for PS Now and wasn't that impressed. You do get a lot of games free with the subscription, but the framerate would drop constantly, or it would randomly disconnect. This was awhile back, so one would hope that things have gotten better since then.
