Finally made the plunge on this because all the DLC was on sale through Aug 17. Seems like a peaceful, patient game. I do think it's something I would enjoy playing on a cold winter day with football on, but I guess I can get started on it now.
Reading people are putting 200+ hours into this and DLC.

I definitely enjoy it and you're right about it being a great bad weather or with football on that you're not completely invested in.
The only thing I didn't like(and this is definitely a me problem, not the game) is I put a good bit of hours into helping my buddy progress his server and I just really don't feel like doing it all over again on mine.
Repetitive things get under my skin. I helped him discover a bunch of vehicles and upgrades and it sucks that none of them translate to my account.

I feel legitimately retarded trying to navigate some of these roads early and wonder if I'm doing it wrong or if it's supposed to be a slog.

Half the map is just you wenching from one thing to the next and pulling through the mud. Just be careful when trying to wench from a small tree. Tap the wench or else it'll uproot.

I just started playing this a few days ago and I'm having a lot of fun with it. There's so much content it seems like you could just play it forever if you wanted to.
Played a little with friends, too, which definitely speeds progression up a little.
There's a free DLC pack with two very good trucks, but if you sell one instead of using it you get enough money to buy a bunch of upgrades and even some additional vehicles.

I proactively downloaded all the DLCs while they were on sale despite never having played it. I think once the weather turns it's going to be a lot of this.

Downloaded this last night off of Game Pass PC and I can definitely see a lot of time being poured into this game once it gets too cold outside.
