SLI problems

I recently installed a 2nd card in my machine and can't get games to utilize the GPUs. In 3d mark I get 100% utilization of both GPUs and get adequate results compared to similar system setups. In the Witcher 3 I get ~60% utilization on both cards and 60-80% on CPU. I've tried both soft and the new HB bridge and neither had an impact.

Are you trying to use sli, gysnc and downsampling at the same time?
Last I checked, all 3 won't work at the same time.
What cpu do you have? Cpu % doesn't mean a whole lot on most games. If a game only uses 6 threads, your 8 core cpu won't be used to it's fullest.
Edit: Need more info.

Only sli, playing on native 4k monitor.

4770k, haven't overclocked it yet tho.

Some games scale better on sli/xfire than others.
Not experienced on dual cards due to poor scaling. Maybe TW3 doesn't scale as well as it should have. You might have to do some google-fu to see how well it scales. There have been more than few games that won't use both gpu's properly.
One thing to remember is that dx11 doesn't have native dual gpu support. It's nothing more than driver hacks by both vendors.

Although, I've never done sli/xfire due to problems. Maybe try to ask the pc thread. There are probably a few peeps who have more experience.

What are your cards?
60-70 sounds right at 2160. That is what I get on GP102.
Edt:
What? No game utilizes the 6 cores. If you are seeing utilization of other threads it is from other processes.
Also scaling inside of 2 way is pretty decent, just not at launch. The Witcher 3 is highly optimized and an older title so it gets great scaling.

I'd be fine with 60-70% if it got me to 60 fps. I'm sitting at 55 or so in Novigrad which is indistinguishable from a single card. It might be a CPU issue. Is there a better way to measure a CPU bottleneck?

Using=benefit.
LINK
Obviously IPC means much, but I didn't know the cpu op had.

You never listed HW brother. List HW. Besides the 4770K which is much more than enough.

Yep. OP might have to overclock in some extreme cpu bound situations. Considering he has the gpus to carry the brunt.
Edit: considering= assuming.

Well that is what im getting with the same GPU set up when it comes to utilization.
Temps?

Are you running the full "game works" gambit?
It's called gimp works for a reason.

card throttling at 83.
Do you hit 60 at times then it throttles down?

Ok I discovered the problem. Turning off AA in Witcher 3 turned the GPU load to 100% and got the fps over 100. Guess it's a game specific issue.

Whoa.. lol
That shouldn't happen. I never had that problem and have played it since launch with 2x780 Tis, 2x980 Tis and now 2xTitan XPs.
Wonder if its a latest driver thing?

How are the jaggies?
That seems weird. Even at 4k, I can easily see jaggies. That's even down sampled.

I believe I've read an instance or two(maybe even on this game) where that's happened. Seems very weird.
