So my friend and I play BLOPS 3 and we both wear headsets... problem is, is that we can both hear each other's movements/gunfire/etc... So when he's stomping through puddles/water? It sounds like *I'M* stomping through puddles/water... When I shoot, he hears it like he's shooting...
Please tell me there's a workaround to this bullshite oversight by Microsoft.
Cheers and TIA.

Could be any number of things. Try some troubleshooting steps and let us know what happens. While doing this, try and listen to see if the problem is still happening or not
First, try playing normally, but play one game with one person as the party chat creator/leader and then the next, close the party, have the other person create a new party, and try it that way.
Second, try having one person mute his microphone and continue playing, then do the same with the other person
Third, if you can, try each partying separately with other people and playing and see if the issue still presents for one or both of you
Finally, try playing a different game while partied together and see if similar things happen
Each of these responds to a different thing malfunctioning or being the part at fault, and if one test works and the other doesn't, it'll let me know what needs to be fixed
