it all depends on the gamer...I had a 360 and it gave me the rings of death a couple of years ago...last time i buy a microsoft product. PS3 has a blue ray dvd player, so there is added value. Plus they have great games and i saw the FPS gun with the clip...looks pretty cool.

Console wars are dumb in general. But I have toy'd with the move, have a Wii and played the kinnect and for the gimmicks that they are the Kinnect is head over heels more fun. A gun controller? pass

Gimmicky. I see that thing causing alot of rage. If im playing Time Crisis or Terminator Salvation Coin Arcade style i can see that being fun. But for a FPS? Doubt it works well. Ever play COD on Wii?

like i said, i dont really play FPS which are all the rage now, but Sony, IMO, has a product with more
value, more exclusive releases and i love their marketing. Nintendo doesnt belong in this convo, my fault, because they have captured several different markets while sony and microsoft are compering for one.

I don't even know what Little Planet is. Is that the one with the little brown burlap guy? From what I've heard, that game is the tits. Not my favorite kind of game, but PS3 does rock the shite out of my favorite sports game and so far they beat the bloomers off the XBOX exclusives.

Marketing tells you alot about a company. A failure in marketing usually means a failure in the product...that's just the way it is.
Marketing tells you what you're buying. If the company is better at marketing, it usually means they have a better understanding, of what you, the consumer wants. It means they spend more time figuring out what you want, like, don't want and don't like. Not that Microsoft unsuccessfully markets their product, but Sony is much better in this regard and gives me a clearer understanding of the benefits of owning a PS3. I don't own a PS3, yet I am able to form a good opinion about them. X-box...how do they differentiate themselves? What are the advantages of owning a 360...I don't know because they have failed to communicate to me the consumer effectively.

You're all smart and stuff.
Long story short, PS3's marketing campiagn isn't just better than Microsoft's, it's a leader in the overall grand scheme of things. I think they have an awesome campaign going.

If I already own the product the marketing is a moot point. Besides that if you turned on a TV any time the last 2months and did not see a kinnect commercial i'd be shocked. Id say they are doing fine
