Similar but smaller scope. They have really ramped up what you can do in the second. You couldn't control fortresses in the first one.

I really liked the first but once you move to the grassland, it felt incredibly un-Tolkien and very generic fantasy

I loved Shadows of Mordor but did wish there were more locations. Every small issue I had with it seems to have been addressed. This one looks to be greatness
