Yep, didn't even think about upgrading to the Pro with a PS4 already.

Unless you're just getting into this generation, if you have an Xbone or a PS4 there's almost no reason to upgrade. Only real way would be if there was some kind of special trade in deal. Give back your PS4/Xbone for the upgraded version and maybe $149 extra or something. Not about to drop another $400.

I spent 150 on my pro with trade in of my normal PS4.

Well worth it. The Pro is awesome.

I mean being in this current generation and upgrading makes perfectly justifiable sense. I can trade in my console to make the initial cost cheaper and I already have a massive library of games that will look way better.

Too bad Xbox games suck arse. I'll get one, but it'll probably sit around as much as my OG One. Only use it for Overwatch and TF2

Day 1 buy for me. Mostly because I want to play my multiplayer and my sports games in the best way possible. I've got my PC for multiplats.

Xbox One users can now play Half-Life 2 thanks to backwards compatibility. The Orange Box, which was released on Xbox 360 back in 2007 comes packed with Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Half-Life 2: Episode Two, Portal and Team Fortress 2.

Not everyone feels the same way.

For me it will depend on if it functions as a media hub the same way my XBone does. If it does I am getting one and finally upgrading my TV and Home Theater Receiver to 4K.

Scorpio will be a beast of a console no doubt.

Games and price point is my only questions.

Upgraded to 4k with all of my TVs this year and bought two Xbone S machines. Haven't really taken advantage of 4K outside of a few Netflix titles.

Our guess, and it is just a guess, is $499, the same launch price as the original Xbox One.

Wow this is MUCH lower than what had originally been suggested. I'd been hearing anywhere between $750-1000.

If this is the case then I might trade in my X1.

A guy who had a ton of early info on Scorpio before this release said his guess is $399. That is almost too good to be true.

That would have been priced with PC's, it would have been obliterated.

I don't know. Depends what their plans are.

Price matters a lot. The masses that don't pay any attention to specs will look at a $399 machine and a $499 machine and likely buy the cheaper one.

If they go $499 or higher they WIll sell a lot fewer units.

If they go in at the same price as the Pro, the masses are FAR more likely to buy it.

I just don't think they will take a hit like that, especially not being in the market lead position. There just isn't enough instinctive to drop your current library of games in favor of jumping into the Xbox One ecosystem this late in the game. This like the Pro will do well with enthusiasts and previous existing owners looking for an upgrade, and those are typically the ones willing to pay. The Xbox One S will still be the one most people buy that are on the fence, especially when money is tight around the holidays.

Really see this coming at $450/499. Plus if they were to come out at $399 Sony could just counter with a price drop, which they probably will anyways.
