So I just got it a few days ago and boy.... I’ve had some interesting things happen.
I was playing a “hideously ugly” explorer who was a “creepy breather.” So everyone this guy came across hated him.
The first person my colony recruited was a complete free-loading a-hole. He refused to do anything. He just sat there, eating my dwindling food supply.
My colony continues to recruit more people and they all hate the main guy even though he does like 60% of all work.
Then we finally recruit a chick, and let’s say she’s clumsy to be nice. She manages to trip over every creature that could possibly attack her across the whole map.
The entire colony had to run across the map to save her more than once. The. One day she angers some large beast right near the town. Everyone but her gets killed.
So I form a caravan to go sell unnecessary crap because now my colony is back to being one person, I stop at a quest marker. Guy walks up and a shoot out starts and my chick could t hit shite so she dies and game fricking over.

I’ve got a buddy who swears by this game. On deployment, he put all of us in his “story” and it was...interesting.

Game has been on my wish list forever. Not paying that price. And it has never been discounted at all

Getting them doing art, writing books, or making statues (I don't remember, it has been forever since I played it) is entertaining. The stories that go with those pieces is ridiculous. However the game came up with that is my favorite part.

Its essentially a one man studio, and he has stated several times he is never putting it on sale. Considers a sale a slap in the face to everyone who bought it at full price and in early access.
FWIW, I have 400 hours in the game and will probably put another 400 into it.

Sweet, I've had this game on my wishlist forever too but I've considered buying it even at full price because I've heard so many cool things about it. If the developer has no plans of putting it on sale I guess I might as well take the plunge...
