Finished the game on madhouse and got the platinum the other day. It was fun going through the game with unlimited ammo.

The dlc has one of the best scenes in the game. The bedroom escape from Marguartte ala Misery. It's one of the best moments in the game. Feels like it should have been in the main game honestly

The nightmare mode is fun as hell too. It's basically waves of molded and bosses trying to survive waves from midnight to 5 am. You buy ammo and weapons with scrap generated from machines placed around the house. It's fun.

Ethan must die is insane and impossible. Basically a one hit kills you mode where you get random items and encounters to do through the house it's stupid hard.

The dlc is amazing already, very happy I got the season pass at the last moment.

Just finished the game myself and I have so many questions. I thought the tanker was going to tie into the ship from RE 5, honestly and the disease from RE5 spilled out into the bayou thus creating RE7. Also, very crazy that it takes 16 years after the original so it's 2014 in this game if I'm not mistaken? RE 1 happened in 1998 so a bit of time traveling too.

2014 is when a certain character went missing (don't want to spoil it for people who haven't played).

2017 is the present. The person returns

Ahh, okay cool. That makes sense, although I just watched the "Everything wrong with RE7" video on youtube and holy shite does it bring out A TON of plot holes.

Honestly, frick those videos. It's a GAME that wears its 70s/80s horror infuences on its sleeve and is very self-aware of what it is and what it's not. You could do the same with any form of story-telling and get similar results.

I always think to myself, ok this is a game about monsters and basically magic type stuff going on. It's not real life. So why should we expect everything in the game to line up and work perfectly like real life?

Ethen Must Die and Nightmare from the dlc are fricking annoying and should have been unlockables.

Just like the Wii and Kinect...

Disagree.

VR is future. It will be AR and VR. Things evolve. Keyboard and mouse is the foundation.

Exemplifies the worst parts of the main game, shooting droves of enemies in cramped hallways. They're glorified mini games that you shouldn't be charged for.
