Through the first hour, I don't scare easily but this game is good a jump scares. I imagine playing this with the lights off and headphones on would freak a lot of people out.

It's a good game so far but doesn't feel like Resident Evil to me, maybe it's because I didn't play much of the earlier games because of shitty ports. To me RE is the movies and so far this game is NOT like the movies.

You can tell it was designed for consoles, it has an Alien Isolation feel to it.

Yeah..the main character doesn't have the same fighting ability as they've had in previous titles.

Adds to the feeling of helplessness I imagine.

And I for sure would have to play with the lights off late at night.

Previous RE titles had you traveling the world or deep down in some kind of umbrella corporation building. This one narrows the scope of the world but piles on the creepiness, from what ive gathered

OK after a couple of hours in the game to me feels like Mystery/Horror/Puzzle game. It's not bad and I will keep playing it, but not really my favorite type of game.

It took me a bit over 8 hours. I got the "good" ending. The final boss was lame but I love the ending (we all know who that REALLY is).
I'd highly recommend playing through it again on Madhouse.

I am nowhere close to a Resident Evil fanboy. This is the first one I have played since 4 and that's the only one I have played before this one.

This game is legit.

Without spoiling the plot too much, does it tie back to the original series a lot?

I'm glad they went back to survival instead of zombie warfare. The franchise was headed in the wrong direction. I feel like I'm gonna have to get this

I'm happy for those that like this type of game, just not my favorite. I don't hate it and will be happy to finish it even with a campaign length of the shooter game.

I found my perfect game play comparison, it's like Alan Wake without the flashlight mechanic.
