Resident Evil 2 being remade

I don't post much on the GB unless there is a game that I really love, and RE 2 is one of them. RE 2 IMO the best out of the franchise.

I just wish they would remake all the older ones and give them Res4 perspective and controls.
I recently found the Wii version of Zero for $8 and am flat out shocked they didn't bother to at least give you aiming via the Wiimote.
The tank controls are incredibly annoying and a pain in the arse to get back in the habit of using. It was so finicky that I stopped using the analog stick and went to the d-pad. They could have also given you the ability to move via point and click like the old adventure games since the early RE's are essentially a progression of that style of gaming. It would probably control a bit better that way.
Anyway, a remake is cool but I really hope they modernize the way you play.

The early resident evil games are essentially horror adventure games, until RE4.

I love the tank controls. It adds to the atmosphere and character of the game.

the REmake was awesome for it's time.
If lightning can strike twice and they can deliver a similar upgrade to RE2, I would be very pleased. Hopefully they can add new story elements and flesh out some storylines similarly to what the REmake did.

I want the game to remain in the state that it was. There are plenty of other fps zombie titles out there.
If they tried to reimagine resident evil 2, they'd just make operation raccoon city again. And that was a shite sandwich.
