Redbox movies on Xbone

I can't get wifi to work on my Xbone at the hotel so I rented a redbox movie. When I try to start it it says that I need a connection to go to the Xbox store. WTF?!? Why the frick do I need the xbox store to play a redbox movie?

I think you might need to download the video player app.
