RDR2 Epiloge:Why does the family suck?

John Marston is trying to do the right thing and seems to always have by Abigail. You're not allow to sleep with anyone in either games so it's not like he's an unfaithful a-hole. He's put his life on the line more than once for both of them. For a guy born to a mother, who was a prostitue and died during childbirth..also his father, who had been blinded in a bar fight, died when John was eight years old. Guy who spent a few years in an orphanage before running away and was threatened to be lynched after being caught stealing at the age of 12, only to be saved by a gang of killers who raised him..John is an alright guy..

So..Abigail, As a prostitute.. slept with most of the members of the gang, but ultimately fell in love with John. He apparently walked away from the gang for a small time to get his head in order, as he was not 100% sure that he was the father of the child she was carrying. Instead of allowing him some space, she's used it to justify her attitude.

He came back and she's never let it go. She knew who he was when she met him. It's not like she lowered her standards as an orphan turned prostitue. John gave her a life and a ranch, etc. But she continued to ride his arse..why? Just be satisfied. Did she forget being around guys like Michah? John gets an honest job and has to do things to keep the job, and his employer/coworkers/livestock safe. She takes the kid and runs away.




Jack is about as bad as Walter Jr from Breaking Bad. He never shows interest in anything, then when you reach out..he completely kills the progress. Then you get told you're basically a POS dad for not being there that one year when he was like 3. He only gets somewhat decant way after John is a corpse.

I feel sorry for John.

Wish there was DLC to this story that gave multiple outcome options.
