My hard drive is full and I want to go buy a 250 GB removable one but can I transfer my files without having to buy the special cable for a single use? And how safe is the transfer? If I lost all my shite I would rape and pillage a small city

I thought maybe I could reformat my thumb drive to transfer the files or something. But I'm not familiar with this process at all

I think you can move all your files to a thumb drive, then put your new hard drive in and move them to it.. So to answer your question, yes (I think)

What size hard drive do you have? Since you obviously don't have a 250 already I'm gonna say that you have an old gen console? Pretty sure you can do the thumb drive thing, but it'd take a long time. If you want, I have the cable (and disk) you need to transfer then that I no longer need (got a slim), I can send it to you if you'd like.

Wow, that would be amazing. Yea I have an older model, like 3 years old I think. I have a 20GB HDD and I'm gonna go pick up a 120 GB HDD at Gamestop before they close today, but it doesn't come with the cable. I swear Microsoft will find a way to tax the frick out of anything and everything.

Let me see if I can find it, I recently moved back home from my apartment (not having money sucks ) so everything is pretty scattered right now. Also, we'd have to find a way for you to send me an address so i can mail it. I'll let you know if/when I find it

The 2nd to last update allows Flash Drives to work in the USB port. I would try that first.

I bought a used cable at Dollar General, used it, took it right back myself and got a pack of generic strawberry flavored condemns for $1 myself.
