I am moving to a new place where Comcast will be providing my cable/Internet. I was wondering what would be the best Internet option for gaming. What do you think the minimum I should get for no lag and best overall gaming. They offer 3, 25, and 50 Mbps. I'm sure 25 will be more than enough but I really have no clue. Any help?
TIA

25 would make the most sense.

Unless they are giving you a hell of a deal on 50 of course. If it is twice as much then go with 25.

I got 25. I hate Comcast, though. Basic HD, with 25 interwebz runs me 140/ month.

Yea I had cox when I lived in BR and never had a problem. I will be living in West Monroe so it looks like Comcast or AT&T are the only options. All I want is basic HD cable w/DVR and enough Internet for gaming on a ps4.

3meg is plenty if you have low ping. Those games use very little bandwidth. What matters is your ping.

Start with 3 and bump up later if you aren't happy with it.

If the ping is low it doesn't matter.

You can game on 500k and even lower if your ping is low.

Welcome to God's Country. You may want to venture over to the Food Board on occasion and ask what all Mecca has to offer for your dining pleasure.

I had 25, they throttle you pretty hard. It used to take forever to patch and download stuff. Also would have to buffer 2-3 times when streaming netflix. I upgraded to the 50mbps, the gf can watch netflix on the xbox while I play somehting no problem.

I used to have the 25mb/s and they upgraded me to 50mb/s for free in that promotion a few months ago. Regardless, i only get about 20-21 on speedtest.

Still a bit laggy sometimes playing online and that is with a ping of about 15.
