I have no idea what you can do without online. I got 4 years on Black Friday for 24.99 a year. 
And no, no shooter is worth $60 when they're made for Online only, they have like 3-4 hour campaigns that suck.

It was my understanding that you can utilize all online features, expect online multiplayer gameplay, for free. To actually play games online, which I don't do, is $50/year, which isn't worth it to me.

Like I said, might as well not even get a PS4 if you don't play online, at least not for awhile.
No shooter is worth the money without Online, they all have shitty and shorty campaigns since they're all about online play.
NBA2K14 offline would be fine I'd think, MLB The Show coming up in March would be as well. Knack would be fine. Killzone has a 10 hour long campaign so you'd be okay there.
