I had a roomba long time ago. It just moved around aimlessly.
The one I have now laser scans the room and designs an efficient path to get the whole room.
I like it better than the roomba I used to have.

I have no idea how Roomba figures out what pattern to clean. He just zigs and zags all over the place. The marks on my carpeted rooms are hilarious...it's like he's always drunk.

I would get one if I were you...I love that thing. It works for sure...he usually picks up everything. And if he doesn't, just start him off in the area he missed and when you get back to work he's in his dock and the floors are clean.
