I have not owned a Nintendo system since NES, but recently got a Wii U a few days ago and have not regretted it. Have been a PS guy since the mid 90s, and have just got burned out from all the first person shooters and sports games. Playing Super Mario Bros U has been the most enjoyable game I've played in years. No exageration.

One of the main reasons I got the console is to the play the Zelda games, which I have never played before in the past. But from what I've heard, I will not be dissapointed. With all the new games comming out, I think for 299 it was a steal.

The Gamepad is what makes it so unique IMO. Being able to play a game while my fiance watches TV is awesome. Also, being able to browse movies on Netflix from the Gamepad is huge for me, becasue it sometimes takes me forever to find what I want to watch, and I can still watch tv in the process.

All in all, I highly recommend it if your just looking for something different compared to all the first person shooters and sports games on XBOX or Playstation.

If you haven't played super mario 3d world yet, you are in for a treat.

Nintendo still makes the most fun games on the market.

You pretty much summarized why ill never buy a playstation or xbox again. Just a bunch of shooters and scrub kids with no lives online on top of generic and boring uninspired gameplay

Don't get me wrong, I played the hell out of my friend's and brother's SNES and N64. (I also had a SEGA during the SNES years). But deep down, I wished I went the SNES route instead of SEGA, but don't regret the Playstation.

Boom!
And I agree.
I don't have the Wii U yet, but I have the original Wii and love it.
