Excited to not have to play along with Spike Lee's crap My Career story. This year is totally different from what I read. You'll basically be playing with Michael B. Jordan as rookie best friends trying to make it in the league. I'm a fan of that guy so I'm pumped.

Yeah, that definitely sounded awesome and a lot more of replay value with it. I can't fault them for trying something new, but at least they saw the err in their ways and went a different route

I love me some NBA2k but this kinda sounds awful. I don't want to be shackled to some CPU player that I have to play with. I want to be paired with a real NBA star, not a fake one. My toon will already be fake.

Why can't they give us flexibility. I WANT TO MAKE A WHITE GUY THAT DOESNT TALK LIKE HES STRAIGHT OUT OF HARLEM. I mean shite. Give us options 2k. Different voices. Different stories. Or no story at all. I had to redo my 2k16 career because I had a white guy from Harlem that had black parents. I mean on my first play through, I wanted to see what the story was all about. It was decent. But my second character I made, I skipped all the cutscenes and whatnot.

Michael B. Jordan is the name of the voice actor for that character and they're using his likeness. He has a separate in-game name

For the first time in like 6 years I'm not getting 2K. They just killed mycareer with their Spike Lee nonsense. I don't want a story forced on me. I want the ability to chose and make my own story. It's why I enjoy Bioware games so much.

I'll probably play the prelude and see if I like it before buying. I think 2k would rather be hip and cool instead of making a great basketball game.

Yea the free demo comes out next Friday and you can begin your MyCareer with it to see how it is. Also transferable to the game so you don't lose progress. Apparently there will be a 2k app launched next Thursday that allows you to scan your face with your phone camera to fit on your character. I hope the technology is better than any past facial scanning features.
