Discovery Communications - Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet, Investigation Discovery, Science, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, Discovery Family Channel and 11 more brands.
Fox - Fox Networks Group's portfolio of national entertainment programming services, including - FX, FXX, FXM, National Geographic Channel and Nat Geo WILD. Additionally FOX Sports' national and regional programming services - FOX Sports 1, FOX Sports 2, BTN, Fox's regional sports networks, including YES Network and Prime Ticket. The agreement also covers Fox's owned and operated television stations.
NBCUniversal - All local offerings from NBC, Telemundo and regional sports networks as well as Bravo, CNBC, E!, NBCSN, Oxygen, Sprout, Syfy, USA Network and more.
Scripps Networks Interactive - HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel, DIY Network and Cooking Channel.
Viacom - BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Palladia, Spike, VH1 and more.

That's cool and all but people are already subscribed to countless streaming services that are on a lot of other devices. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc.
Sony is a little late to get in on this.
ETA: If it is truly a cable replacement then it may have a shot.
What's bad for them is that they no longer make TVs so outside of Playstation it will be hard for this to stick since they can't offer it on Smart TVs.
They will have to try to get in on Roku and other streaming devices.

Problem is a lot of those services don't get shows or movies right away. Prime stream is usually good about getting it asap if the show is in their library like Vikings and Black Sails same with Hulu. But if PS can some how be able to get the shows from their partner networks when it first comes on tv, they could be on to something. Big if though.
Alot of series still are old on prime, hulu etc. If sony some how gets brand new content on that night then this could be successful.

Sony owns and produces a lot of series so they will get those no problem.

ISWYDT,T. And I was on that pain train when Xbox One came out about criticizing it. But the thing I couldn't wrap my head around was watching TV while you game. Anyways, for those that have been thinking about cutting the cable like me, it offers me another alternative to the cable box that I only use for sports, really.

It's really a waiting game for ESPN 3 to take off. It's not consistent enough to rely on yet.

I guess what I'm asking is can I watch the NFL live on Sunday if I cut the cord and only have this service?

If this thing works as designed there is a lot more offered than on any of those services. This service appears to have quite a few channels that were previously unavailable to cord cutters.
This is big for me because HGTV, E!, and MTV are on this service so if it is offered at a decent price I can now convince the wife to cut the cord.

They can but it's going to cost them like crazy to get on say a Samsung TV.

You can watch the nfl on fox and cbs with nothing but an antenna
Espn is the problem, if you don't have access to Watchespn....which technically no one should have without a cable or satellite subscription to those channels
