I'm in the middle of planning a pretty hefty build that involves a full tower case with an EATX mobo which will serve as a big time multitasking hub. Gaming/general use PC with multiple HTPC aspects.

One idea that occurred to me, considering how far processors have evolved past non-content creation software, is it feasible to run two games at once on this?

For instance, I play Anno 2070 on my computer monitor and a housemate plays Skyrim at the same time via the TV.

Keep in mind that each display will be driven by their own seperate graphics card and RAM is cheap enough to make it easy to have a butt load of it, so this is mostly a question of processor load.

Can a 3770K processor handle this or should I get a 3930K or even a 3960X? (High end Ivy bridge 4 core CPU or a Sandy Bridge 6 core for those who don't know...unfortunately 6 core Ivy Bridge CPUs are 6 months or so from release and I think that puts it out of my build window)

Seems the question is moot.

No way around the control issues of inputted commands going to a designated game. Whatever I hit on the keyboard will influence both games.

Oh well, it was a passing thought.
