Yep. There are 3 different endings. I'm guessing you got the depressing one

What determines which ending you get?

**SPOILERS**

How you treat Ciri. If you let her make her own decisions/support what she wants, she gains confidence in herself, accomplishes her final mission and survives. Then there's two ways the game can end after that depending on other decisions you made in the game. Both are good but one is more bittersweet than the other.

Beat the main game, didn't really like Geralt's ending. I heard there's multiple endings though, is this true?

Yeah, there are three different endings for Geralt and three different endings for Ciri depending on how you handle your love life during the game and how you react to Ciri at certain points.

I supported Ciri most of the time. Her ending was inconclusive. It's Geralt's I didn't like. Guess I'll have to youtube the others.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

I supported Ciri most of the time first play through and I think she saved the world and went on to take over for the Emperor. Geralt was alone because he banged anything and everything. Still pissed he didn't get a little Succubi love.

Recent play, I supported Ciri in everything and only nailed Tris. Ciri survived and joined up with Geralt on his journey.

I assume there is also an ending with Ciri dying and Geralt being alone. That would be depressing after 100+ hours.

SPOILERS

The ending I got had Geralt thinking Ciri was dead, though the ending narration said she was never seen again after going into that snowstorm so she could be alive. Geralt goes to the swamp to kill the crone that escaped with Ciri's pendant. He meets up with some werewolf that takes him there, though I could have just killed him. After I killed the crone, Geralt trashed her house and finds the pendant. He sits there looking at the pendant being all emo. Last shot is the house is surrounded by a bunch of drowners and ghouls and stuff, implying they all gang up on you and kill you. Needless to say I was pissed.

Spoilers:

Yeah Brosef, you got the bad ending all around. You can look it up online, but there are 5-6 choices (choosing to have a snowball fight, destroying Avallach's house, letting her talk to the sorceresses by herself, going with her to visit the dead dude that helped her escape) you make at certain points with her that determine whether she dies (your ending) or lives. Some of the choices aren't necessarily obvious the right move to make. If she lives she can either become ruler of Nilfgaard (if you take her to see Emhyr before going to fight Imelrith) or become a Witcher (if you don't take her to see Emhyr).

Geralt's ending just depends on who you tell you love between Triss and Yenn. You try and do both you end up alone, do one or the other and you end up with the one you choose.

That would piss me off. Mainly because there is no way 1000 drowners and ghouls could have killed me at that point.

I wonder who shows up at the end of blood and wine if you have that ending. Maybe Geralt goes home and nobody shows.

Geralt :forever alone: ending.

I liked when you are at the party and she tells the artist that only paints nudes that he may still get his chance to paint the duchess.

Though Geralt getting together with her would be weird given that Dandelion and her had an extended fling for a winter in the books.

Plus, I just nailed her sister so that might be a bit awkward if she found that out. Don't want to lose my nice estate in Toussaint but hitting a Duchess and her sister is a tough option to cross off on the bucket list.

Truth there. And on top of that she had a death warrant put on Dandelion when things went south, so knowing Geralt he'd wind up banging a barmaid and wind up in jail or having to leave town.

I got the super shitty ending in the actual game but romanced Yennefer the most during the game. She showed up at the end of the DLC for me.

Yeah, you get whoever you romanced as visitor as far as the B&W ending goes. I was just wondering who visits if you tried to romance both Triss and Yenn (and got nobody in the end) and Ciri died.

I looked it up after I made that post and apparently Dandelion visits you in that case.
