Bought Voez today. It's essentially a DJ Max game, which means it's pretty fun. Only go if you really like (korean) rhythm games.

Really, all I want to know is why are the game cases so big when the games are so tiny? IMO the cases should be just as small as the 3DS cases at most.

I think it's purely a perception thing. They don't want games to "look" like a portable system game. There's a perception to that that hasn't changed in a long time as 3DS cases very much resemble GBA Boxes in size.

Which is weird, because they look like recycled PSP game cases. They're the same shape, just thinner than PSP cases.

because they're marketing it as a console. you put it in a case the size of 3ds and subconsciously or otherwise it emphasizes the wrong aspects and gives the wrong message to the consumer...at least that's my guess.

you can't put it in a tiny 3ds case but you also can't put it in a big arse console case either...then it's all anyone would talk about. also needed to be unique since they're not going head to head with Microsoft and sony.

this is all just my own speculation

Brickseek shows 10+ in stock at the Walmart on Vets/Roosevelt in Metry. A few in stock at the Kenner location as well. Really tempted to get one to play Zelda, but I'd be paying $450+ to play that, then another $60 to play Mario at the end of the year. That'd pretty much be it unless they have multiple Mario/Zelda titles come out for the switch or a Metroid comes out. Plus I have 5 or 6 other PS4 games waiting for me once I finish Dishonored 2 (which is great). I'll wait a few years and get one when it's cheaper. Or get drunk and order one off of Amazon once it's in stock.

I guess that's what it is but even as a person who prefers to buy physical media over digital I also don't like for anything to be bigger than it needs to be. It's always driven me crazy that DVD, BluRays, and console games are in packaging that is too large for the disk. It's like after making the packaging just big enough to hold LPs, tapes, and CDs the media companies all the sudden decided everyone thought it would be great to take up more space than was needed to store media.

Besides the fact that it's annoying as frick to make room to store shite, it seems idiotic that they would waste money farting out more plastic than they need to.

What sku and zip code did you use? I'm assuming a nola zip, I was just wondering how far away it gives results because I keep getting nothing for BR. I'm using 70816 as the location

Edit: when you search for a sku on the brickseek site a few different ones come up. I finally tried the right one the gives some results, even to say a location is out of stock which I didn't get with another sku. I just got 'no results'.

The sku is 55449983 and its showing stock at college walmart

Edit 2: I called and was told they didn't have any stock at college. And brickseek was showing like 19 or something

This reddit link has the SKU #'s and direct links to the Brickseek page:

I used Zip 70121.

Still showing 6 grays and 4 neons at each of the Metairie and Kenner locations.

I need to get another by April for my brothers birthday. Hopefully they won't be so hard to find by then.

How accurate is that brickseek page? Shows 5 in Covington but just called and they said they had no stock. So are they lying?

So..

The more hours I pour into BotW, the more fearful I become that my Switch will corrupt this 70hr Zelda save file.

Still no update from Nintendo if we will ever be able to backup save files for games?

Idk how they get their numbers, but even the Wal-Mart app showed college drive had the switch in stock (it doesn't show how much) and they didn't have any.

I read more on the reddit page and apparently that includes all stock including pre-orders. So...either they tell their employees to lie on the phone or they just don't really have any besides pre-sales.

I thought it was pretty strange they tout this expandable memory as a big deal (which it is) but then you really can't do anything with it

I'm dying to play this copy of BOtW sitting on my desk with no switch
