That part was hard because they kept coming but got easier when it was just the bloater for me. I kept running from I'm and the guy with me basically distracted him.
Eta: in hospital now. Calling it a night so I can get some sleep. Hopefully I will be able to finish tomorrow night.

If you can fool use the dude as bait. When the infected attack him, melee kill them with Ellie. Saves ammo. You should be able to make at least 1 health pack. If you are severely injured(I hit death) and no medikits....you are flicked. Start level over

When I was in the sewers, I would jump on top of the vehicles in there and throw a molotov at a bloater.. that would get the attention of the 2nd bloater, the clicker and the runners in there. Then I would throw one of those grenades down there and wipe them out.

I actually sneaked around and killed all but 1 clicker. I had the shiv's to do that though. Then when it was just 1 clicker and 2 bloaters I got on the truck and threw 2 molotov's at them. The clicker ran into it so that took care of him and it seems to disorient the bloaters. As soon as they regrouped from the first I threw a 2nd and I fired no more than 2 shots from my shotgun. That's on normal though.

I got through the subway part on hard no problem, but on survivor I struggled. I literally had like 2 arrows and a few rounds of the sawed off shotgun lookin thing. No bombs or molotovs.
I ended up killing everything except the 2 bloaters.
I ran past those to the next checkpoint, which I am surprised it let me do.

I haven't used the arrows on clickers. I am always too afraid to piss them off

Arrows work good on clickers if you hit them chest or head area
I normally will use the bow to take out as many clickers as I could from a distance before trying to fight them. On hard at least it's a 1 shot kill in the upper chest and head area

I'll remember that if i do another play through. I didn't really use all the weapons since i had plenty of supplies. That won't be the case on hard.
