Nice, I gambled and got a chest plate as well (I'll add the name of it when I get back from class). Still got the gauntlets for the warlock though, they look sick.

What are some relatively quick ways to get motes of light? Or, alternatively, what are the guaranteed ways to get motes of light?

After you hit level 20, you'll get a mote of light drop from an enemy for each time you would have leveled up before you hit 20. Example: 20,000 experience points (picked a random number) to go from level 1 to level 2. Once you're past 20 and you gain 20,000 experience points from game play that would have leveled you up before hitting 20, you'll get a mote of light each time.

Today it is an exotic body armor engram you can buy for 23 motes.

Hmm... sounds pretty tempting.
But with my engram luck...I'd throw my controller through my TV if I bought an Exotic Engram only to get a Rare item and waste my motes.

Just had four blue engrams, two green armor pieces, a mote of light, and a strange coin.

I would be fine with the coin and mote. It's better than getting all green or blue items only to dismantle them.

The exotic engram is a guaranteed exotic, but it can be for a different class. Also, the best way to get legendaries is to get your rep up with a faction rather than play the lotto with engrams.

Good to hear it's a automatic exotic. Especially the time you spend to get motes in the first place. I'd be extremely pissed if I spent my hard earned motes on an exotic engram only to get something other than an exotic. Albeit I have an exotic titan helmet, it would suck to get other than a titan piece BUT I've already got a legendary helmet, gauntlets and cloak for a hunter in my vault so if it happened to be a chest piece for a hunter, It wouldn't be too big of a hit. In fact, I'd probably start a hunter ASAP if I did because I'd be set as soon as I'd hit 20
I know you can only equip one exotic armor and weapon but can you equip two exotic pieces of armor at once?

They're all going out. I got virtually no sleep last night so I'm drinking myself to sleep so I'll be on shortly after I eat something so I'm not chasing chocobos later. I'll hit you up if you're still on and run some missions with you to help you level up.
ETA: I suffer from insomnia so it takes forever for me to get to sleep so I always need assistance. I refuse to take ambien ever again so it's either Tylenol pm (usual weeknight solution) or alcohol. It sucks.
