I know they're doing away with crucible and vanguard commendations. You'll be able to purchase motes of light and strange coins from the Speaker for glimmer. Apparently the Reef will be totally reworked as well.

Also all the factions (Dead Orbit, New Monachry, Future War Cult, etc) will have all new weapons and armour.

I didn't do the pvp in that game unless I needed a few levels at lower levels.
I quit when they announced the dark below, but now I'm intrigued at maybe getting going. Had 2 lvl 29 toons.

I played a couple of missions the last couple of nights. Is it worth investing in right now or is it all about to get rendered worthless like they did with the last update?

Who knows? All of the information released has been through Bungie, who is obviously trying to push a product. House of Wolves comes out 5/18, wait until people have actually played it and post some reviews online.

Did anyone check out the live stream of Prison of Elders? It looks absolutely insane. This link has a ton of videos for all the new stuff including Trials of Osiris in case anyone missed it

One of the things I'm most excited about is finally being able to upgrade any weapon for piece of armor to the max level. I think the dev's realized how short sighted it was to only have basically one set of armor per class that let you get to 32. It will be a nice change to be able to use whatever sets you want. Oh and Fatebringer maxed out? Fap.

i just jumped back in after never playing the dark below.
Trying to get to 31 before the new expansion drops so that I can play all the content possible on day 1 and work toward the level 34-35 PoE runs.
I feel so useless now because all my maxed out pre-expansion gear sucks arse compared to TDB gear, but I'm having fun anyway

I'm on the fence with getting the new expansion. I'm just not sure how much more I want to grind out stuff in destiny.

I'm only lvl 29 after never playing The Dark Below. I'm currently stockpiling marks and coins / motes waiting for the new gear. The new purple gear will get you to 31 base apparently and once fully upgraded with 1 exotic fully upgraded you'll be 32/33. At least that's how I understood it.
That won't take too long to do and then it's just playing Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders to get the unique gear to get to 34.
