Because I already have a second set of gear for 30. Also because I wouldn't have to go through the grind to get all of the shite again to get to 30 on a different class and would be able to do everything twice before the reset.
Not really sure what's so difficult to understand why I would create a second character of the same class. I know people who have 3 of the same and are all at 30.

Got the gauntlets from Iron Banner finally. Just need either a raid helmet or chest piece and I can get to 30

Buying armour changed everything for me. I was used to other loot games where you don't buy anything.

You don't get crucible cred for playing iron banner. You get marks though, so that's good. Strikes get you vanguard marks, which you can use to buy some cheap gloves or boots.
Best bet is to equip a class item for dead orbit or new monarchy and do all of the bounties you can with that. Get to level two and you can use your crucible marks there.

Buy Vanguard armor. Don't worry about leveling up the crucible rep, if you're in a rush. That sh*t takes forever. Well, it's just more of a grind. There are so many ways to get Vanguard (or any other faction) rep.

You can if you pick up crucible bounties that stack on top of your Iron banner bounties. Just don't wear a faction class item when turning them in.

My game didnt come with a book and I havent really done much reading on the game on "how-to's" so im still learning terminology. So what yall are saying is to do alot of strikes and bounties to get to 30 faster? Bounties on the crucible or just bounties in general? For some reason I thought you needed crucible experience to get to level 2 so I could buy the armor for level 2. I have no idea what dead space is either

Right but iron banner doesn't contribute to anything other than iron banner regardless of what you have equipped.

I like playing control and it seems everyone I play against is a 30. I can hold my own, but I figured I need to fight fire with fire, but it was taking so damn long to level up. thats why im here
