You have no clue about the situation if you believe its just nVidia being unethical.

I don't agree with it. I'm not supporting nVidia but my gaming experience. Gameworks sucks but it does offer awesome quality settings and anti-aliasing solutions which are better than AMD's offerings. Yes the price is disgusting but AMD took some bets with Bulldozer in their struggle with Intel and lost. This then took money away from R&D and some of their foundries. AMD put their self in this situation and are just now starting to close the gap with Fiji.

Don't solely blame nVidia for this situation. Capitalism works this way, they are being rewarded for focused strategy while AMD had 4yrs of discourse.

I wonder what two 1080 cards in SLI would be like, No 3 and 4 way SLI with these.

I thought you wanted a one card solution? Or are you just curious?

What do you mean?

I plan on getting a pair. Always get a pair of anything I'm purchasing and you should too. A single 1080 is not enough to justify the purchase for me from a 980Tis.

The bridge takes up both ports so you can only do two cards unlike in the past where you could SLI up to 4 cards.

Different size bridges. Plus only the desperate use SLi over 2. Scaling is decent for most titles at 2 but anything over that is a nearly a complete waste.

I excited to see the 1080 vs my 970's, the bump I get should be pretty substantial.

Ah true no doubt. GM204 to GP104 should be awesome. I'm coming from Big Maxwell GM200-325 to GP104-400 so the increase won't be that noticeable but needed especially for a monitor upgrade sometime this year.

I'm really hoping to use less power and keep my gaming/computer room a lot cooler this summer.
