Nintendo will broadcast a new Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday, Sept. 14, a showcase focused mainly on Switch titles coming this winter, the company said in an announcement.

Nintendo’s currently announced lineup includes Switch games Detective Pikachu Returns, Super Mario Bros. Wonder (which got its own dedicated Nintendo Direct in August), WarioWare: Move It!, and a remake of the Super NES classic Super Mario RPG. Those four games are due before the end of the year.

Two more Switch games are slated for 2024: a remake of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and an untitled game starring Princess Peach.

Nintendo may have a few surprises in store as well. The company still has Metroid Prime 4 on its release schedule, and is rumored to be sitting on a handful of Zelda and Metroid remakes and remasters.

Remake Ocarina of Time with nothing changed other than the graphics scaled up to the best a switch can handle and you can have my bank account. Don’t just port it over. Remake the entire game from scratch improving the graphics and gameplay mechanics but leaving the art style alone but improving it for the current generation and leave the story alone completely.

And then do Majoras Mask.

That knitting League of Legends tie-in game is exactly the sort of Nintendo weird I've come to expect.

Between that and the Super Mario RPG remake, these last two Directs have made me beyond happy.

I bought a Steam Deck and was excited to play/emulate those two again on the go, and now I just have to wait

I'm excited for this one. It looks like a fun problem solving game that I think I can get my 6 year old daughter into.

Same here. I was certain they’d remake PM on the N64 before, but I guess this makes sense since you can still play that game on the Switch N64 emulator. And my god, the remixed music from the trailer between SMRPG and TTYD remake was incredible.
