3 v 3 is fun on the new game mode. But 3 v 3 through EASHL and the game play itself is the same as last year with very minor tweaks. We played some 17 then hopped immediately over to 18 and couldn't notice the difference outside of a few new camera angles and the net coming off the pegs a lot more.
As someone who is an avid NHL gamer and usually puts several days worth of play time into it I'm on the fence about buying this one.
Would rather not reward EA for slapping Connor McDavid on the cover, branding it toward young superstars, and showing off new dekes that will seldom be pulled off for anything in online play. Disappointing all around

I've only played a few 3v3 solos so far. Don't play EASHL so can't speak to that area of the game I only play HUT.
Plan to get in a few online versus games and see for myself here in a few.
EDT: Idk yeah I agree the few online games I played felt pretty terrible. Worse than 17. Clunky, not smooth at all. Felt bad.
