What is the difference in the S and project Scorpio?

S is the regular XBone, just smaller and more efficient.
Scorpio is a significant upgrade with better hardware. Think of it as Xbone 2.0

Any info on release date of scorpio?
No sense of buying a S, when i alread have the TB space(3tb), and its the same machine, but smaller.
