That looks good.

Do you have to know the story of the earlier titles to know what's going on or are they standalone?

I have heard it's the best game on vita.

The overall elements repeat, Personas, shadows, school classrooms, human subconscious plotline, but the stories are standalone.

You can start at Persona 4, or 5, and not miss a beat. If you have a vita or PSTV, do youself a favor and get Persona 4 golden, it is the definitive version of the game, and hands down the best game on the vita.

was thinking about getting into the persona series. I was thinking about picking up 3 or 4 right now or just waiting until 5 comes out. Any suggestions ?

4 is a great game, 3 is very good as well but less gameplay elements (overworld, etc)

I'd say get P4G if you have a vita, it's a great intro to the series and one of the better RPGs of this gen.

I got both Andvari and FlyAU to play it and like it. It's a lot of fun and very well made.

OT: The trailer looked quite good. Atlus has handled this one pretty well. Also glad they decided to push up Dancing All Night ahead of P5.

Loved the game! Took me a bit to get used to the premise, but its just a really really great game and story.

I've heard great things about P4G. But, since I'm highly autistic, I decided to play Persona: Revelations, Innocent Sin, Eternal Punishment, etc. and work my way to 4.

I've never played a Persona game before, but that trailer has piqued my interest.

Will check this out.

Lol Hey, I'm doing pretty good. juggling eternal punishment and Chrono Cross right now. Revelations was quick and I got lost in Innocent Sin. It was awesome.

Well, 3 and 4 are definitely a departure from P1 and P2. 3 and 4 are understandably more modern and involve some new takes on some of the series themes.

Would you recommend me starting with persona 1 or 2 over 3 or 4 ?
never played any of them. kind of intimidated by the fact that these gaes are over 60+ hours and not sure if I will have time to get through all of them.

FWIW I get the most enjoyment out of a jrpg with a great story.

If you don't have a Vita, then Persona 3 FES is a great place to start. Keep in mind that you need to be in for the long haul on these games. They require a huge time investment.
