Need Help: Xbox One / Cox Modem (docsis 3.0) packet loss issues

So I just moved into a new house, and set up my internet with Cox last week. I hooked up my Xbox One this morning, and the packet loss was around 25%. Didn't really affect Battlefield, but Destiny was lag city...
I read a lot of stuff from back in 2013 where there were some compatibility issues between a D3 modem and XBone. Don't see any articles between then and now, so I'm assuming they patched something awhile back...
Does anyone know a fix to this? TIA.

did you confirm you still see the packet loss from a laptop or desktop?
if you still see the packet loss from a laptop, then contact your cable provider, you more than likely have an issue with signal levels on your modem.

What router/firewall are you using? May need to forward all your ports

So I figured out that it is my router, and is only affecting my Xbox.
I tried port forwarding, a DMZ, and lowering my firewall settings, to no avail.

You forwarded all your ports to the IP that the XB1 is using?

Not sure if this matches your problem, but I was using the cox provided modem / router device and was experiencing high packet loss. I tried everything that was suggested and only fixed the problem when I purchased a new modem (Surfboard) and a Netgear dual band router (Nighthawk). Have had no problems since I made that replacement.
